Juan Antonio Nieto, who also works under the moniker Pangea, is a spanish experimental musician playing live electronics using field recordings as its raw material.

 

He is also curator for the Sonic Resistence Group (GRS Madrid), Acufenos Fest and Latimeria events.

 

Nieto has collaborated with avant-garde artists like classical composer Leo Alves Vieira (working with string quartets), the Japanese author Kenji Siratori (who has voiced his compositions) and Igor Jovanovic.

 

His release with David Velez was considered the best album of 2007 by the journal Earlabs.
