Kevin Toma

Kevin Toma (1974) studied Film and Performing Arts at the Catholic University of Nijmegen (nowadays Radboud University). He started writing film reviews for the Filmkrant, and later worked as a web editor for Cinema.nl. He has been a film journalist at the Volkskrant.

 

Since 1994 he has been making live music to accompany silent movies. He's a self-taught musician and composer. He has written new scores (and performed live) for, among others, Sunrise (1927), Häxan (1922), Berlin, Die Sinfonie der Groβstadt (1927). Toma is also a film teacher and DJ.

 

At Kernel Panic he will present a silent movie with a live performed soundtrack.
